Together the 6 form a seaside panorama.

Tom Purvis (1888 - 1959) was a commercial artist who worked for the LNER for over 20 years. He was responsible for more than 100 posters.  

East Coast by LNER is another delightful design by Purvis.

East Coast Types

This was a series of posters designed by Frank Newbould for the London and North Eastern Railway.  The set of 6 was released in the early 1930s and included The Scottish Fisher Lass; The Deck Chair Man; The Lobsterman; The Donkey Boy; The Norfolk Wherryman and The Scottish Fishwife.

Frank Newbould (1887 - 1952) was a commercial poster artist who designed numerous posters for railway companies, shipping lines and other organisations.
